Swedish House Mafia Wave Goodbye to Pacha for Ibiza 2012
Thursday 1st December 2011 - 15:40
After three seasons of sell-out events at clubbing institution Pacha, last night the Swedish House Mafia announced, over facebook, that they would be moving on to pastures new for 2012. Here's what they had to say:
“After three years of hosting Mondays at Pacha Ibiza we feel its time to move on and explore more of what the beautiful isle has to offer!
It’s been an incredible time and we have had some amazing memories, thanks for making Pacha history with us!
We’ll be seeing you next summer on a new and even more incredible adventure!
Steve, Seb & Axwell (SHM)”
Rumours are rife as to what their next Ibiza venture could be with Sankeys and Ushuaia being touted as possible venues. However Privilege, Ibiza's 10,000 capacity club, would seem the natural progression for the chart-topping trio.
With Pacha no doubt eager to fill the Monday night void left by the SHM, this could cause something of a ripple effect. With 3,500 attendees every Monday the SHM parties will be difficult to replace but rest-assured Pacha will replace them, the only question is with whom.
