El Ayoun is without a doubt one of the most prestigious and lavish hangouts in Ibiza. Stooping low to walk through the tiny Arabic-style front ‘door within a door’ is a miniature gateway to the palatial delights contained within. Luxury is the first thing that comes to mind once inside; opulence is palpable everywhere the eye travels. A favourite of the discerning glitterati of Ibiza and beyond, El Ayoun has a genuine sense of sophistication few places match.
Mediterranean, Moroccan and Oriental cuisine all sit happily next to one another on a menu designed to delight the senses. Dine inside the inviting North African themed restaurant with a menu of Moroccan food or outside in the beautiful walled garden, lit to subtle perfection, with a traditional French menu. Past the bar lies the ultra-smooth Sushi bar serving sushi, sashimi and Vietnamese food.
Next to the restaurant is the bar known as El Privado, which has an altogether more contemporary feel than the restaurant with modern décor and lighting reminiscent of trendy urban nightspots. The beautiful people gather here soaking in the atmosphere with superb cocktails and music from some of the island’s top DJs, before heading to their tables to eat.
