‘Café’ is perhaps a bit of a misnomer in the case of Café Sidney; an extensive pan-global menu catering to just about every taste, comfortably covering everything from breakfast through to late night dining, implies more than your average café. Perhaps its trump card is the tranquil atmosphere it effortlessly instills, coupled with friendly service and a perfectly suited soundtrack. As if that wasn’t enough, the servings are very generous too.
Most tellingly it is popular with the locals and if you happen to be on the island off-season they have a spectacular sushi buffet on thursday nights aswell as weekly breakfast and lunch set menu deals. A free WiFi connection is provided and you are certain to spot faces locked in various degrees of concentration whilst peering at their laptop screens.
Café Sidney has two restaurants on the island, in Marina Botafoch near Talamanca beach and in the harbour in Santa Eulalia. Both have extensive outdoor terraces with lovely views of the respective marinas (the Marina Botafoch café arguably shading it with it’s views of Dalt Vila in the distance hovering proudly above Ibiza Town), perfect for a spot of people watching or indulging yourself in a bit of lighthearted boat envy.
