Positively brimming with hotels, holiday apartments and bars/restaurants Talamanca bay is an ideal spot for every holidaymaker, catering to every budget and to every taste; whether you are a family or party loving people. A short ride away from the centre of Ibiza Town, it has a long sandy beach with calm waters, lined with beachfront bars and restaurants and views of Dalt Vila.
The resort itself is located a 15 minute walk from Ibiza town around the curving Marina. In recent years the area has seen a boom in development with a range of apartments and 5 star hotels opening to meet the area’s increasing up market credential. Talamanca itself however still holds some of the same charm that made it such an appealing destination. It is a popular spot with locals, usually due to its range of quality restaurants and the fact that the place has a sleepy feel while being a stones throw away form the madness.
Nearby is the Marina Botafoch, bustling with various shops selling clothes and all manner of boating related paraphernalia, restaurants and a scattering of local supermarkets and of course more boats and yachts than you could possibly imagine.
At the other end of Talamanca lies the up market restaurant and bar Sa Punta and also the unassuming Fish Shack, just past Sa Punta, which is a favourite with a lot of locals, visiting DJs and tourists acquainted with the island.
If you are looking for nightlife in the vicinity of Talamanca, look no further than El Divino, which is in the harbour itself and legendary nightspot Pacha, which is on the road leading towards Ibiza town. There is also the bar Grial, just down from Pacha which is open all year round and El Divinito on the corner of the roundabout, perfect for pre-club drinks and a short walk from the aforementioned clubs.
Talamanca is a great place to be based for a holiday in Ibiza. There are not many places where you can lay on a peaceful beach one minute, dine in great restaurant the next and within five minutes walk be in one of the world’s best nightclubs. Talamanca you could say has it all.
