Ibiza Beach: Talamanca

Sunday 4th October 2009 - 13:11

On one side of the Talamanca peninsula you have the Marina, overlooking Ibiza Town, while on the other you have Talamanca beach. The beach itself follows the curve of the bay to create a kilometre long sandy oasis from the bustle of Ibiza town, which is just ten minutes away. Several hotels and restaurants that cater for a range of budgets back the beach. It’s this close proximity to the town and a long boardwalk that runs the length of the beach that make Talamanca a busy destination throughout the year unlike many beaches on the island.

The shallow waters make it perfect for paddling and beach games and sun beds are available to hire throughout the day. The car park can get busy at peak times, but it can be a good idea to combine a day here with a visit to the old town, about twenty minutes walk away.
