Ibiza Beach: Cala Den Serra

Monday 10th May 2010 - 18:09

Set past Potinatx right in the north of the island, Cala Den Serra is a true gem and one of the island’s best-kept secrets. This small beach is in a secluded bay with a small beach side bar (chiringuito) selling traditional Spanish Tapas. The water is warm, beach unpopulated by tourists and you really feel like you have really found your own little paradise.

The entrance to the beach is via a long twisting road past some old ruins, where you are sure to start believing you are heading into the wilderness, rather than paradise. In fact a quiet beach to relax with beautiful clear waters will eventually reward you.

The beach itself has a few sun loungers and umbrellas, but bring your own if you need to guarantee them. The water is great for snorkeling as well as warm. The beach and area has a real local feel and if you are looking for the ‘real ibiza’ this is a very good place to start.

Getting there: Taking a scooter or car, are essential to get to this beach. However they don’t allow car parking close to the beach so hitching a ride or scooter may well be your best bet.
