Ibiza Beach: Cala Conta - Sunsets and Shallow Waters

Wednesday 20th January 2010 - 08:46

Cala Conta is on the western most point of Ibiza and a perfect spot to view the islands that surround Ibiza. It’s soft sand, cool blue waters and stunning backdrop of sand dunes / rocky cliff s, make it one of the best (and most popular) beaches in Ibiza. The water is shallow in parts and crystal clear, making it suitable for children and families.

Being on the western side of the island you also can enjoy the treat of the sunset each evening. The glorious Ibiza sun slowly dips into the sea, which can be enjoyed from a selection of restaurants that surround the beach.

Getting There: On foot you can reach Cala Conta via the ferry, which departs regularly from San Antonio harbour and certain hotels in San Antonio Bay. Alternatively a bus runs from the bus station in San Antonio.
If journeying by car, the parking is good, but can get can be busy in peak season. It is a short drive from San Antonio.
