DC10 and Circo Loco could be back in October?
Monday 17th August 2009 - 12:20
There are strong rumours that DC10 will be opening its doors once again at the start of October. The club was imposed a year ban in the October of 2008, which of course will be up in around 6 weeks time. This has caused great excitement that a re-opening could be just around the corner, only fuelled by the release of the image alongside this article.
The club has been through three years of turmoil. First the club was forced to enclose the terrace with a roof due to noise followed by weekly and impromptu closures, imposed by the police on charges of drugs. At the end of 2008 the incoming council really turned up the heat and recalled the original venue license (which was in fact for a road side café for around 50 people), which finally led to the venues full closure for the 2009 season. However, all that could be about to change.
A party in the first week of October, on the traditional Circo Loco Monday afternoon start would see it open its doors on the 5th October. This may prove a sweet relief for all those who booked trips expecting a Space Closing, which has be moved to the end of September, who will now be rewarded with one of the grandest re-openings Ibiza has even seen.
Whatever the case it’s sure not to be the end of the Circo Loco / DC10 tale and expect plenty more twists to come.
