Azuli's Secret Beach
Thursday 28th May 2009 - 08:57
Last was a season marred by club closures and stricter opening times on the island but there was one party that managed to bring a little ray of Balearic sunshine – Beach Azuli. The parties took place in different beach locations across the island, though most notably Sol D’en Serra. Azuli also called upon old friends Andy Cato from Groove Armada, Pete Tong and Alex Neri among others to play as the sun went down to a smiling crowd that was made up of a mixture of lucky tourists and island movers and shakers.
This year Beach Azuli is back and more secret than ever. Announcing that last week that the location will only be revealed the morning of the party and entry is only allowed by tickets in advance. Last year it seemed the location was let out too early, which allowed the police to get there first to halt any gathering. Only after a last minute relocating did the party go ahead and Azuli are keen to avoid a repeat this year as well as the hefty fines that go with it.
Special guests are being kept a closely guarded secret along with the first location, but with a 25 euros price tag (which includes a free drink) and a chance to experience one of only a handful of outdoor Ibiza experiences, it will surely prove popular again this summer. Keep your ear to the sand and make sure you get to Beach Azuli in 2009.
