A Look Back at Azuli's Secret Beach Party 14/7/09

Saturday 18th July 2009 - 13:52

Azuli commands a loyal and enthusiastic following worldwide (aswell as painfully fashionable-summer scarf at a beach party anyone?) which were evidently on display at this, the second of Azuli’s secret beach parties for the 2009 season. Taking place at the recently opened Amante in Sol Den Serra, the stunning setting proved to be an idyllic backdrop for the party. The whole essence of a successful beach party is to as much as possible cater to all tastes and Amante’s series of terraces with seating and chillout areas presented ample room for the cosmopolitan gathering to mingle in relaxing surroundings, while those who preferred to let their feet and hips do the talking strolled down to the private beach or DJ terrace.

On a sweltering Ibizan afternoon with little sign of the trademark breeze, early birds had the pick of the chillout areas and terracing, though with a following renowned for enjoying a good time it didn’t take long for the attendees to start making shapes in the sand (and not a bucket and spade in sight). Some chose to recline in the plush lounge areas dotted around the private beach, enjoying one of Amante’s fantastic cocktails or the assortment of delicious fresh food on offer at the barbeque, the hamburgers being a firm favourite. Things started to pick up quickly as more and more people arrived and the evening started to cool, leading to a swelling crowd dancing on the terrace and down on the beach.

Music was provided by a diverse selection of DJs both established on the island and up-and-coming,, including Ian Blevins, Smokin’ Jo and Antz. With each individual stamping their own identity on proceedings it created a soundtrack to the night that was always fresh and and kept the crowd involved until the very end. NonStop is already looking forward with anticipation to the next secret beach party and wondering where they might surprise us with next for the venue?
